The use of steel fibres transforms concrete into a more flexible composite system that is able to withstand much greater stresses, both prior and after cracking. Steel fibre reinforced concrete has substantially greater fatigue and impact resistance. Applications include shotcrete for linings, stabilisation and restoration, slabs on ground for heavy industrial applications and joint-free floors, composite metal decks, blast resistant structures, airport runways, taxiways etc...
